Podcast EP164: Opening Eyes to Your Story and Becoming Your Best Self with Susan

By Karen Robinson

Heal Thrive Dream

Introduction to Susan Glenney

At 61, Susan Glenney published her first book, Moments in Time with 16 Men, a coming-of-age novel she's thrilled to share with readers.

The story follows Jennifer Donnelly, an award-winning teacher who leaves her career after uncovering the truth about her childhood. As family secrets come to light, Jennifer must confront her past and unearth the truth about what really happened. While navigating her personal journey, she encounters 16 men—representing the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful—each playing a part in her self-discovery. Through these experiences, Jennifer learns that true love doesn't come from others but from within. When she embraces self-love, she rises to new heights, growing as a woman, a writer, a lover, and a human.

Susan’s book speaks to women, reflecting how relationships—whether with ourselves, our families, or romantic partners—shape us. When trauma touches one aspect of life, it often reverberates through others. Life isn't always easy, but it takes resilience and self-reflection to grow and evolve.

Susan hopes her book will encourage readers to examine their own stories, helping them transform into the best version of themselves. After all, don’t we all want to be the best we can be?

Outside of writing, Susan has been on a spiritual journey for 35 years. She's passionate about the outdoors and loves experiencing the unique beauty of the four seasons in New England. Susan embraces the joy in everyday moments and brings that energy wherever she goes. As a guest on your podcast, she looks forward to sharing that same joy and inspiration.
